Romania is on first place in the
European Union depending on the pace of increase in production in the
construction sector in the second quarter, with an advance of 20.7% compared
with similar range of 2007, according to data published by the European statistical
office, Eurostat.
In the second quarter, the pace of
development of construction sector in Romania outmatched market developments in
Poland (+19.8%), Slovenia (+16.7%) and Bulgaria (+15.6%).
At the level of European Union and the
euro area, the construction market fell within the April-June with 0.8% and
2.2% respectively over the same period of 2007.
