During January 1-December 15 2009, IBC Focus verified over 1 200 industrial projects, out of which 55% were future projects. This clearly indicates the potential this segment has on the short and medium term.
Moreover,
according to IBC Focus monitoring the industrial segment in the last month of
the previous year, 70% of the industrial projects remained unaffected by the
economic recession. Between 2006 and 2008 approximately 40% of all industrial investments were concentrated in the Bucuresti-Ilfov area. Beginning with 2009, investors have preferred Transylvania region (North West and Center), which at present stands for the region with the highest potential in the country.
