The list of the bankrupt companies grows every day. Only in January 2010, there were 2 000 insolvent companies. A simple calculation shows that every day, 64 companies in Romania were unable to pay their debts.
In terms of economic sectors, 40% of the insolvent companies were from retail sector, followed by construction sector, with 15%:

The number of the companies in the construction market could halve this year if the Romanian Government doesn’t react. Last year, one third, meaning 20 000 companies were insolvent or even bankrupt.
